Since 2012, the STARS Alliance has negotiated group purchasing contracts to improve the financial efficiency of its member nuclear stations and their utility companies. Equally as important, the STARS Alliance also provides a forum where operational information and best practices flow freely. As this unique group looks to its next decade, it seeks to do even more. STARS Alliance is led with oversight by a board of directors that consists of the chief nuclear officers of the four owner companies. Additional oversight is provided by four board subcommittees: site vice presidents, engineering vice presidents, plant managers, and chief procurement officers. With headquarters in Glendale, Arizona, STARS Alliance is staffed by loaned employees from our owners’ nuclear stations and permanent office management personnel.
